The concert had a late-night show theme, with cue cards provided for the audience to participate by laughing, cheering, applauding, and snapping. Despite microphone issues during the sound check, the ensemble delivered an impressive performance, featuring talented vocalists and instrumentalists. Each vocalist had a mini-interview with the host before their performance, adding to the authentic late-night show experience. The ensemble performed a variety of jazz selections, including collaborations with the FAMU Jazz Faculty. The audience showed support and enthusiasm throughout the concert, even without relying solely on the cue cards. Some attendees were experiencing jazz for the first time, while others came to support their friends in the ensemble. Although there were minor issues with the microphone volume, the audience enjoyed the overall concert. Towards the end, the director encouraged donations to fund the ensemble's upcoming trip to New Orleans. The concert concluded with a Dizzy Gillespie song and featured mini solos from band members.
