UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES
The College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities (CSSAH) offers online undergraduate degrees in: Criminal Justice, Global Security and International Affairs, Psychology, and Sociology.
Criminal Justice
With an emphasis on law enforcement, criminal procedures, the courts, and corrections, FAMU’s Criminal Justice program has educated and trained students who now serve as law enforcement, correctional and probation officers, while many others went on to pursue law degrees and now hold positions in courts, colleges, as well as in public and private practices and agencies across the nation and world.
Global Security and International Affairs
Unlike existing programs in the Florida State University System, the Global Security and International Affaris curriculum at FAMU offers a major in the field as opposed to a certificate or minor course of study. The major is designed as an academically challenging and comprehensive interdisciplinary curriculum combining an extensive and in depth study of core concepts, principles, and practices of international affairs and security studies.
Psychology
The Department of Psychology provides students with a strong foundation in the field while emphasizing Black and multicultural psychology. Our department offers major and minor programs in psychology in a setting which allows students to excel academically, professionally, socially, and personally.
Sociology
The program prepares our graduates to be well-equipped critical thinkers and engaged citizens of an increasingly knowledge-intensive and globally diverse society. Graduates of the program are prepared to enter graduate or law school as well as take positions in a wide variety of governmental and private organizations.

What You Need to Apply
You will need the following to apply for a CSSAH Online Undergradaute Degree program:
- *Official transcripts from high school; approved or regionally accredited or Self Reporting System (SSAR).
- *Official home School transcript or GED transcript.
- Official Redesigned SAT [code: 5215] or ACT [code: 0726] score, directly from agency.
- 500 word essay.
- Two letters of recommendation from teacher and/or counselor.
- *Official dual enrollment transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (if applicable).
- Official AICE, AP, CLEP, IB, and TOEFL/IELTS scores (if applicable).
- Completed online application.
- $35.00 non-refundable application fee or approved official application fee waiver.
*Applications submitted after the deadline may be considered for a future term.
