Auditions will be used as an assessment tool for the theatre program. Each student’s audition will be assessed by the show director and the performance faculty.
FAMU Theatre Majors: It is required for maximum growth that all theatre majors with a concentration in performance participate in auditions for all productions. Students whose primary interest is in stage management and design/technology are not required to audition; however, it is highly recommended.
The auditions will be used as an assessment tool for the theatre program. Each student’s audition will be assessed by the show director and the performance faculty. Those students who wish to receive an oral evaluation may set an appointment with the performance faculty.
General Information: Auditions are open to Non-Theatre majors and to the general public. FAMU Theatre majors
will have preference for roles that are suitable for them.
