In a comedic exploration of love, loss, and liberation, “Poof!” follows Loureen as she confronts the complexities of her abusive relationship when her controlling husband mysteriously disappears. This thought-provoking play unveils the intricate battle of a woman reclaiming her life and voice.

 

Day of Absence by Douglas Turner Ward

"Day of Absence" is a sharp and provocative satire set in an imaginary Southern town where the unexpected disappearance of all the Black residents reveals the uncomfortable truths and underlying dependence of the white community. With a bold blend of humor and commentary, this electrifying play challenges audiences to confront the realities of race, identity, and the consequences of complacency in an unsettling world.
